Pep Martorell is a physicist, holds a PhD in computer science, and is one of Spain’s leading figures in scientific management. After nearly a decade as associate director of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, where he drove the development of the MareNostrum 5 supercomputer, he now leads the AI area at the Invivo Partners fund. He combines this investment work with teaching at Esade and public outreach, specializing in the strategic impact of disruptive technologies and supercomputing on today’s economy.
