The deployment of electronic prescriptions has been fully completed in General Practitioner centers (over 40 different institutions) and most of Medical Specialization care centers. Today the medication can be dispensed electronically in any of the more than 3100 pharmacies in Catalonia.<\/p>\n
Since July 2020 the number of \u00a01500 million dispensations has been surpassed<\/em><\/strong>, and more than 99.3<\/em>%<\/em> of the total number of prescriptions are fully electronic<\/em><\/strong>. The knowledge base provided by this new model, where health professionals have an end-to-end vision of patient\u2019s medication, is a key success factor to deliver effective, safe and cost-competitive health care services.
